Inspire girls in your area to be joyful, healthy and confident by bringing Girls on the Run to your local school or community facility.

Interested in bringing Girls on the Run to your school or community?

Typically it takes a just few weeks to start a new team!

  1. Identify a Coach and Site Liaison
    1. What’s a site liaison? An awesome person that is affiliated with the school (Parent or Staff), is dedicated to fueling limitless potential in kids in their community, and has the flexibility in their schedule to help with the the student recruitment process and communication among coaches, participants, parents and the Girls on the Run/STRIDE staff.
    2. What’s a Coach? A Coach can be your Site Liaison, but sites must provide at least one coaching candidate per team for your site to open registration. New coaches will be required to attend a one day Girls on the Run National Training session and at least one coach must be CPR certified (Girls on the Run will offer one class free of charge). Coaching candidates are subject to screening and approval by Girls on the Run,  the coach will need to register separately. See below for more info!
  2. Complete a Site Agreement with your Principal’s Approval!
  3. Recruit awesome girls! Promotional Materials will be provided by your Community Program Leader!
  4. School Assembly and/or Parent Meeting is scheduled if needed to answer questions about the program or program fees.
  5. Season Begins!
