Congratulations to one of our most dedicated GOTR volunteers, Hal Briand. Hal recently received the YMCA of Metro Detroit’s Social Responsibility Champion award. At age 70, Hal runs circles around us all! Hal has raised thousands of dollars for Girls on the Run in an effort to support more girls in our area. He was the amazing captain of his Detroit Marathon Charity Running Team, running and raising awareness for our program, too. And that’s not all, Hal is a dedicated “hands on” volunteer at our Celebration 5ks, serving as a course director, making sure our kids stay on course!
Hal was instrumental in helping our Girls on the Run Program serve over 10,000 children throughout our area last year! Thank you, Hal!
