A Sweet Fundraiser at Glengary Elementary!
Glengary Elementary is one of many of our schools that offers both Girls on the Run and STRIDE (our program for boys) for their students. In May, 2017, in addition to each team designing and completeing a community service project, the students of Glengary Elementary thought it would be fun to raise money for their awesome programs. Jumping on board, the school organized a pie throwing booth at the annual Spring Carnival. Not only did Glengary Elementary staff, including the principal and several teachers step into the pie booth, the middle school principal and vice principal, along with the superintendent of the school district, also braved the booth!
Despite the rain and storms, the pies kept flying! Nothing could dampen the fun! The results were sweet: $243 raised! Thanks, Glengary Elementary, with whipped cream and a cherry on top!
